Amiya Bala Sarkar (75), wife of Mahashay’s second son Raj Kumar Sarkar (Bachchu) of Baldia Pandit village of Bhurungamari Upazila of Kurigram District passed away on Sunday 19th March (”On Divan Lokan Sa Gachtu). He was about 75 years old when he passed away. He was suffering from paralysis for a long time. He left behind 2 sons, 3 daughters, relatives and thousands of devotees. He was cremated according to traditional Hindu scriptures on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, thousands of Hindus and Muslims gathered from different areas to bid him a final farewell and bid him a final farewell in Nayan Jal. His elder son Shri Anup Kumar Sarkar is a citizen of India. He has been living in an area called Kamakhaguri of Cooch Behar district. Younger son Ashish Kumar Gopal Sarkar (46) has been living in their original house. Eldest daughter Shri Moti Namita Rani Rangpur Tajhat at her husband’s house, younger daughter Mrs. Chirita Rani at Tangail where her husband works and younger daughter Mrs. Kavita Rani Satmatha in Rangpur is living with her husband.
