A discussion meeting has been held in Kurigram on the pre-budget for the financial year 2022-23. A discussion meeting was held at Syed Shamsul Haque Auditorium of Kurigram Press Club on Tuesday (May 31) afternoon at the initiative of Kurigram District Branch of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad.
The chief negotiator was SM Harun Aur Rashid Lal, Executive Director of Solidarity, a local NGO. The meeting was presided over by Begum Raushan Ara Chowdhury, President of District Mahila Parishad.
At the same time, the speakers called upon the representatives of all walks of life to be vocal in ensuring equal rights of women in the family, society and the state in the forthcoming budget.
