A class Three student (9) has been accused of raping an eighth grade teenager (14) in Chilmari upazila of Kurigram. The incident took place on Friday (May 26) evening at Majhipara in Patrakhata area of ​​ward 6 of Ramna union of the upazila. The victim’s family said that the child fell ill and was admitted to Kurigram General Hospital. Local sources said that local influential people have started working hard to cover up the incident.

According to the victim’s family, on Friday evening, a neighbor called the child to play and raped him. The accused teenager later fled when the child fell ill and started crying due to bleeding. Family members rescued the child and brought him home. As the bleeding did not stop, the family called Biswajit, a local village doctor, and arranged for the child’s treatment. Seeing the seriousness of the condition, the doctor advised to take the child to the hospital immediately.

Meanwhile, the families of the victim and the accused teenager said that immediately after the incident, local Awami League leader and Ramna Union Awami League general secretary Lal Mia advised the victim’s family to resolve the incident. He also said that he would solve the incident with both the families.

The victim’s brother said local Awami League leader Lal Mia had asked him to resolve the issue. They also want the issue resolved. He also said that they do not want to cause any trouble with this.

He was not found when the accused went to the teenager’s house. However, the mother of the teenager admitted the allegations against her son and said, “An incident has taken place. We will solve it together with two families. ‘

Biswajit, a village doctor in Ramna Union, said, “The family of the victim called me around 1 am on Friday. At first I thought it was rape, but I left without any treatment, advising the child to go to the hospital. ‘

However, Awami League leader Lal Mia has claimed that he did not give any instructions to solve the ‘rape’ incident. He said, “I came to know about the matter after receiving a phone call from one side on Saturday morning. No one has talked about it yet. I’m in Roumari. After returning from Roumari, the matter can be decided. ‘

Chilmari Model Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Atiqur Rahman said, “I have not received any such complaint. The matter will be investigated and legal action will be taken.
